Engineers Without Borders University of Georgia Student Chapter is an organization based out of UGA ran entirely by students under the supervision of engineering faculty. We were accepted as an official chapter of Engineers Without Borders in the spring of 2023 under the leadership of then UGA students Matthew Davidorf and Marcus DiBattista. We strive to grow as an organization and positively impact the lives of as many people as possible.
1. Support community-driven development programs worldwide by collaborating with local partners to design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders.
2. Provide opportunities for personal development for our members through their involvement with several international and local projects. Students are able to personally design and implement solutions for health and infrastructure needs in the developing world; this necessitates the development of a multidimensional means of analyzing and planning systems, and thus contributes to a holistic education.
3. The organization also works to promote a better understanding of global health concerns and humanitarian engineering, both within our member-base and throughout the UGA community.
